Hesi pH- Minus

When breeding on Hydro and Coco, it is necessary to adjust the irrigation water to a certain pH value. This pH range is approximately pH 6 (5.8 – 6.2). Small deviations up and down are also okay. The reason for this is that in hydroponic substrates, the irrigation water alone determines the milieu of the roots. These substrates are neutral and only serve to anchor the roots, but can neither store fertilizer particles nor achieve a constant pH value.

It’s different with earth. Soil can store the food and release it to the plant over days, causing the pH in the soil to drop. The watering water for hydro and coco cultivation, on the other hand, runs quickly along the roots and must then contain all the substances that the plant needs in the right concentration. Therefore, the pH value at the time of feeding should also have an optimal value to allow maximum absorption of all nutrients.

If the pH is too low, the roots will be damaged.

If the pH value is too high, not all nutritional components can be absorbed. A plant loves constant pH values. Always check the pH level in your nutrient tank and adjust if necessary.
